S! ] e, k' @ v0 wVANCOUVER/CKNW980 - The city of Richmond has announced that it's been chosen as the home for the new Microsoft Canada development centre. & O, ^/ H' w5 g2 X5 g& H% R; k0 QMicrosoft announced earlier this month it had plans to locate in Greater Vancouver. ( T9 F1 m$ p3 S + v" J1 c) C4 B; _' B# _. s9 ?The company has now reached an agreement to lease about 80-thousand square feet in two buildings located in the Crestwood Corporate Centre. & y) R- u E. n$ N. The city says its staff will now focus on working with Microsoft to ensure the new facility is in operation as soon as possible. " G! w7 R( H7 K2 H( N: t7 p c L4 S6 F. R
Initially it will open with about 200 employees sometime in early fall
